Gameboy section?
Just like the title says - you could use a gameboy section. Back in the good old says they were a great way to waste time, especially the pokemon games. Anyone who thinks that them were crap obviously have no idea about real games - which is shameful for a forum about games.
Re: Gameboy section?
Yes!
*Makes one
GBA was good old days...back when there was the GBA and the N64 that's when they made games the best. They actually tried harder, and came up with awesome ideas. It wasn't all like video games are having war with others too...just felt like fun competition.
Now that I think about it...
Back then, to me it seems, they made everything better. I have interest in LEGOs, and they made the best ones back then. (Heck, I call that period the LEGO Golden Age)
Same with other things...
Not like today, they make everything as cheap as possible, then ask a ton of money for it, etc. I find myself ticked off alot when I see an ad for something nowadays. They make it seem so great...and then it's not.
I dunno anyone agree?

Re: Gameboy section?
I don't know why but when I used the gameboy loads life was simple. I was a kid, there wasn't a care in the world. I don't know if it was the type of game I was interested in but like you said they were better. I suppose the games I like now are just shoot 'em up bang bang and that's all.
One of the games I was disappointing in was Assassins Creed... It had amazing potential, but the execution was weak. One of the disappointing games for the gameboy was... I think warriors or magic (it's been ages since I've been on it). I expected something totally different to what it actually was.
P.S. This wasn't a 100% serious suggestion. I was just testing Aman and his "someone suggested the Habbo section" thing. Again, no disrespect to him but I'm just against adding things for the sake of it. But it's nice to know that other people think gameboy was as good as I do.

Re: Gameboy section?
On the older games I knew what I was doing - I was a geek. By the older games I meant those such as Red, Blue and possibly Yellow. They then brought out new ones like Fire Red... Crystal? It's like fe'gawd sake. Keep it simple. But noooo, got to get more money from pokemon.
Re: Gameboy section?
Red and Blue were my faveorite Pokemon games. Diamond and Pearl seem cool cause of Wifi, but I don't have them, and...they're just not as good as Red. All those stupid new Pokemon, and worlds and stuff...
I like the original best.

Re: Gameboy section?
Back in the old day when the games were simple... You actually knew the vast majority of the monsters and if they were good or not. I remember when I first went on silver, I was like "What the fuck is this? :S" so I get it, and it's crap. Same goes with the cartoons... YEs, I used to watch them. Hey, when it's like 6am and there's nothing on - you have to. Same goes with other cartoons like Yu Gi Oh (I don't know how to spell it) but god them cartoons were so lame they were hypnotizing.
Re: Gameboy section?
Don't worry, I watch the Pokemon cartoons too. They're pretty awesome (not the newer ones though...) I usually will watch the whole Kanto seasons, then start Kanto again. I find they're funnier for adults and teens, actually. They make alot of jokes kids don't get.Jebus wrote:Back in the old day when the games were simple... Same as you on the new ones. I can remember alot of the originals, and they actually are pretty cool. The new ones- stupid names, stupid looks, and just...stupid...

Re: Gameboy section?
lol yeah. the old ones were so cool I actually used to have loads of the cards. never understood the cards as far as the game went, but they were fun to collect. XD I can't remember the last time I've seen the pokemon cartoon to be honest. I think when I watched it I was disappointed because they didn't seem to be in the right order compared to the game. And that's something I hate, watching TV and having 2+ episodes of the series together but not the right order.
Re: Gameboy section?
I don't think I've ever cried due to anything on the TV. The only thing that actually "got to me" was Titanic. I don't know why but I can never watch films like that - I say it's because they're boring (and they are) but gaaawd some are so sad. especially those based on a true story, with the music going and everything.
Re: Gameboy section?
I have cards they cost me alot of money lol
nobody touches them cuz i scream lol
Ive seen the titanic to much romance in it
i cried over eight below cuz of the 2 dogs who died

Re: Gameboy section?
I think I wasted the most of my childhood money on stupid things like cards and stickers - it's what everyone was doing. I don't think I know where these cards are anymore, I know I had like 400 or so but they've just gone.
Can't say I've ever seen, or heard, or "either below" or whatever. But I'd probably not like the film, especially if dogs die. It's like on the film "Total Recall" at the end where goldfish die (I assumed) and that made me dislike the film, poor, poor fishies.

Re: Gameboy section?
Me, I don't like TV...at all. I just watch Pokemon online. TV I only use if there's a Red Sox game I want to see or something, and that's it. I almost despise TV.
I don't remember ever crying about TV. I've cried about books before though. Personally, I like them way better than TV. You can make up the looks and world in your head...it's just awesome. I like to read a good book, fanfiction, or something every night before I go to bed.
TV, I haven't even watched that for about a month now.

Re: Gameboy section?
OMG :O You haven't watched TV for about a month? How do you do it... I've ALWAYS got my TV on. It costs a fortune, but I love it. XD I don't know what I'd do without it. Whenever I'm down (rarely) I watch TV and cheer up again. The amount of crap on TV now though, it's ridiculous.
I would watch things online (films etc... I used to) but my laptop can't take it anymore. I've got way too many virus' and shit on it. I'd reboot, but that's too much effort. I just deal with the over-heating and lag by complaining. makes it much easier.

Re: Gameboy section?
That's another problem with TV today - too many channels. Out of all of the ones I have (I've got Virgin Media... It's over 200 I think, I don't know) I watch about 10 - max. And some of those any when a film is on. When I was a kid I used to love "Cartoon Network" and whatnot, but now it's all Paramount Comedy and standup.
One thing I don't understand about girls is that most seem to love Disney? Some people my age that I know LOVE the films. It's like... They're films.

Re: Gameboy section?
Lol, I don't get it either. The shows stink...the music stinks, Montanna's songs are all rip offs of other ones, and the Jonas bros are gay fore sure...

Re: Gameboy section?
Omg, don't get me started on people like the Jonas brothers. Highschool musical... I don't want to offend anyone, but what a crap bunch of films. And how famous do the people get from it? I think things like that are stupid.
Re: Gameboy section?
Girls in my grade adore them
She said "Like any jo bros songs" me "nooo"
i had to dance to some rubbish hsm song cuz all my friends love them i hate them >.>

Re: Gameboy section?
I don't see what's so good about 'em, yet all girls... Okay, most, seem to love them. I'm glad that you can see they aren't as good as people make out.
EDIT: one thing I hate is when a girl (it's ALWAYS a girl) is so in love with an actor or singer, they have them in their names. The most recent one I've seen is "Mrs. Nick Jonas." I'm sat thinking "Fgs. "
